Niche Market Partner Pages

Most of the Custom Avenue Partners have specific niche markets that they focus on. Because of this, they wanted a focused solution that would allow them to add one page and offer a variety of market focused designs. The solution is a one page design studio.

Here are a few examples:

To create an tracking link, just copy any of these page’s url’s and then log in to your partner account. Under "Marketing Materials", click "Build & Track Your Own Links" and enter the page url, give it a name and hit "Submit". Now you will have a tracking url that you can use with the iframe code. Just replace the standard url with your new one and the new page will show up and track all visitors and sales.

These pages are focused landing pages that give your site visitors everything the need on one page.

Start a T-Shirt String for the Experience

A T-Shirt String starts with one artistic soul. Someone that creates an original t-shirt design and then sends it off on a journey of self discovery and transformation.

A person starts a t-shirt string by creating a t-shirt design that they like enough to purchase for themselves. Then, they send their design’s link to friends and associates. These people modify the design to their liking, purchase the shirt, and send the link further on.

From the modest beginning of a single design, a whole web of related designs can be developed in a short period of time. The original design will transform over and over again as it goes from one domain to another. What happens when the original designer receives an email from someone that they do not know containing a recognizable version of their art? What if it is from a friend and it is known to be from their original art but it is totally unrecognizable? What then? Links are sent by choice but, art is very personal. It can be a real experience.

Of course, the person that starts a string must be a strong enough individual to handle the stark realities and unique insights that will be exposed once a web has been developed around their original artwork and after their art has gone through so many transformations. A person that starts a t-shirt string should be prepared for the experience.

Once a design is sent out to begin a t-shirt string, it’s fate is in the wind. What you can count on is having the experience and having t-shirts you like. Everything else is left up to fate.

Design Templates Now Available!

You can start with a t-shirt design template.

Design Templates let you choose a "look" that can be customized to your satisfaction.

On the upper right hand corner of the Design Studio you will see a tab called "Templates". Clicking this tab will show you different categories of design templates. Choosing a design category will display various thumbnail images of design templates that you can click on and then you can edit.

Using design templates can give you a great starting point to create your own original t-shirts.

Creating a good design is important. If it were not for the designs on t-shirts then the t-shirt would be underwear.

O.K.Sure, that is a bit harsh. A blank t-shirt is actually a great piece of clothing.

However, a good design is a good design and they make an ordinary t-shirt better. Design templates are a good thing to have available.

The design templates you find here or create here are powerful for a number of reasons. The most obvious is that a good design template will give you a place to start. What is less obvious is how long the path can be. It’s important to note that these design templates are viral.

You can choose one and modify it to become an entirely original design that looks nothing like the original. Then you can send it to a friend or associate and they can begin with your design template and create their own original design template. Then, they can send it on. As you can see, this could go on for a very long time.

When you create a design and save it to your account, you will see the link code listed below your design. That link code can be used in email, on web sites or blogs. When clicked, it will load the design studio with your design template ready for editing or adding to a garment.

So, have some fun with design templates. Whether you use them as a simple starting point for your own shirts or choose to send it off in to the vast unknown, design templates are always a good thing to have. And now, we have them at Custom Avenue.

Widgets are small web objects that can be installed on a web site or blog in minutes. You simple copy a line of code and paste it in your page html and a fully functional widget will show up on your page.

A gadget is just a larger widget. A gadget will take up a large portion of a page. Where a widget will fit in to a right or left nav bar, a gadget will take up the whole page. This is a general description.

Both widgets and gadgets are installed by pasting a small amount of code in to the location you wnat it to show up. When you publish the page, it will be there, fully functional.

Custom Avenue has created a few widgets and a few gadgets.

Two New Design Studio Features Added

In response to a number of requests, we added a "Clear Canvas" function plus a "Start Over" function. They are simple text links that you can click for each function.

The"Clear Canvas" link will clear everything on the canvas except for your shirt color. Please use it with care.

The ‘Start Over" function is nearly as dangerous. Click the "Start Over" link and it will bring your design back to the last saved template.

User Account Lets You Save Your Custom T-Shirt Designs

If you have a custom design that you like and would like to save to work on later, you can save it to your account. It will keep it safe until you return.

To save a project, all you have to do is hit the "Save Project" button and then log-in. Give the design a name and hit save. You can create a collection of designs this way.

New Website Developed to Test Design Studio

To test how well the design studio would work on remote sites, we set up a website. The site took about a half hour to build and the studio took about five minutes to install.

It will be in beta mode for another week or two but if you want to add the design studio to your site, just send an email. It’s free to most. We’ll reject hate sites and that sort of stuff.

Six More Customizable Sportswear Products Added

We intend to have many customizable products in the near future. But, for now, we are going to begin with some basics.

We just added six more products giving us a total of seven products that you can get in multiple colorways and sizes.

We had the standard 100% Cotton T-Shirt from the start. This is a good solid t-shirt. We just added three women’s styles, a unisex sweatshirt and a nice hoody plus a long sleeve t-shirt. These are all very nice products.

Even though we plan on keeping the number of products down to a minimum for the beta stage, please feel free to let us know what you want. Once we begin adding new products, we will do it with gusto.
